The NHB-18NS is darTZeels most advanced preamplifier, delivering peerless clarity and musicality through groundbreaking design. It features a no-switch signal-path, dual LiFePO4 battery power supplies, and fully balanced inputs/outputsincluding a high-gain phono stage and Zeel BNC connectionsfor seamless integration with NHB series power amps. Expert craftsmanship ensures each unit is machined from solid aluminum and hand-finished, while the included remote offers elegant, tactile control .
This preamp delivers up to +11 dB of line gain, with phono gain ranging from 54 to 72 dB (expandable to 83 dB with output stage). Inputs include Zeel BNC (50 ), RCA (>30 k), XLR (>15 k), and user-selectable MC impedance (43 47 k). Outputs consist of RCA (75 ), Zeel BNC (50 ), XLR (<600 ), and tape out (<150 ). Its bandwidth spans 5 Hz500 kHz (1 dB), with THD under 1% across 10 Hz100 kHz and S/N ratios over 92 dB for line, 70 dB for phono. Slew rate exceeds 24 V/s and rise time is below 0.5 s. Each channel is powered by a battery bank providing up to 8 hours of ultra-quiet operation with automatic charging when idle.
